Otter Fun Run - Mon 7th July

Dear Parents and Carers,

As part of our fundraising campaign and outdoor learning, each year group will be taking part in the Otter Estuary Fun Run on Monday 7th July. This exciting event combines geography, PE, and community spirit, as children complete a short estuary walk, a geography session, and a 2km fun run with their year group.

Key Information:

  • All children will walk to and from the estuary with their teachers.
  • Reception pupils will need to be collected from the Cricket Club at the end of the day (3:30pm).
  • Year 2 and Year 3 will have a picnic lunch at the estuary, so please send them in with a packed lunch that day.
  • If you want to help out on the day, walking children down and back to the cricket club, please let us know.

What your child needs to bring/wear:

  • PE kit
  • Suitable footwear for walking and running (e.g. trainers)
  • A sun hat
  • A refillable water bottle
  • Sun cream (please apply before school)
  • A packed lunch if in Year 2 or 3 (they are there for the lunchtime slot)

We are really looking forward to this unique and memorable day for the children. Thank you for your continued support!

Best wishes,
Steve Hitchcock
