Miss Back – Year 6
Miss Atkin and Mrs Lee
Enterprise week – This week, Y6 have planned their businesses – made business plans, advertising strategies and completed consumer surveys. Each group is allowed a maximum budget of £15 to spend on start up costs. We ask that one parent from the group buys the items needed (max £15) and give your child the receipts. When the event has taken place, your money will be refunded out of the profits. Many thanks for your help resourcing for this event. Each group has chosen their own date, please ask your child when they need their resources for. (It is on their Google Doc if they have forgotten it).
Check out Year 6’s Literacy this week. We wrote newspaper reports based on fairy tales – I wonder if you can guess which fairy tale inspired each of us?
Important reminders for the second half of the Summer term :
Monday and Friday – PE kit should be worn all day.
Wednesday – swimming
First Friday back after half term break – Non uniform day to celebrate 100% top doodler status!
For the first half of the summer term, Year 6 will learn about the Americas. We will begin in Canada and work our way all the way down to South America. We will learn about the geography including rivers, landmarks, states etc. We will also learn about the history of some of the main countries as well as the differences in how people live. It will also give us opportunity to learn more about the Amazon and the diversity of life within the rainforest.
