Rowan - Year 4/5

Welcome to the Rowan class page!

Everyday Kit:

Please can the children have a writing pen (blue or black), a pencil and a water bottle with them everyday.

PE kit:

Mondays and Friday are both outdoor PE days. Please can the children wear school PE kit with all black trainers and a warm top if they need it.

Table points: the children receive table points for respecting themselves, the children around them and the school (e.g. for hard work, perseverance, problem solving, team work, kindness, politeness, helpfulness). Every two weeks we total the points, and the winning table earns a day of free dress and the Table Points trophy!

This Term’s Topics

Literacy: Persuasive adverts and practicing writing skills (punctuation, sentence construction and creative skills).

Maths: Further work on decimals, plus time, shape and money.

History: How did the Roman Empire change Britain? Can we still see those changes now?

Science: Earth and space

DT: Textiles and sewing skills.

PE: Athletics – running, jumping and throwing skills to prepare for sports day.
