199 Books in the Hall: Monday 1st April (new date) 15:30-16:00
On Wednesday 20th March the Devon School Library Service mobile library visited our school. Pupils from each class helped to choose books for our updated library stock.
On Monday 1st April, we will be showcasing the 199 new Library Books we have received from Devon Library Service as part of our termly book exchange. They will be on display in the school hall from 15:30 until 16:00. Pupils will be able to borrow these books for the first time at this event.
The new stock includes:
- Lots of animal books for the Early Years and Key Stage 1 Reading Around the World challenge;
- More Key Stage 2 books for the Reading Around the World challenge, including more books from the ‘No1. Car Spotter’ series by Atinuke and ‘Betsey’ series by Malorie Blackman;
- Stories for all ages which have a maths or early maths theme, including ‘365 Penguins’, ‘How Many Seeds in Pumpkin?’;
‘How much does a ladybird weight?’ and ‘How Big is Million?’; - New picture books, including ‘Monkey Nut’, ‘Crayon’ and ‘How to be a Lion’
- ‘Where’s Wally’ books;
- Football themed books including ‘Ultimate Football Heroes;
