Treasure Island

Dear parents and carers,

As you may know, we are very keen to have a proper library at St. Peter’s and are looking at ways of raising the necessary funds.

So we were extremely pleased when local playwright Steve Andrews offered to write and stage a pantomime with all the profits going to this cause.

The pantomime is “Treasure Island” and will be staged in the Public Hall in Budleigh. The dates are November 3rd (7 p.m.) and 4th (2.30 and 7 p.m.)

There will be a large contingent of pirates in the play – almost all of them coming from this school. There are three theatre professionals involved plus the very best of the local talent.

Tickets will cost £8 (£5 for children under 14 at the matinee performance) and are available from the school, the Card Shop Too and the Tourist Information Centre.

The school governors and I would be very grateful if you could support this exciting project. I know that Steve Andrews and his colleagues have put in a huge amount of work and it would be excellent if they could be rewarded with full houses.

Seating will be cabaret style with tables for eight or ten. But everyone – single, double or whatever – will be most welcome.

We  are all looking forward with keen anticipation to this adventure on the high seas – and beyond.
