Christmas in the Community
Last Friday we did a reboot of the late night shopping event in Budleigh.
This year we started at St Peter’s church, and stopped at four different locations, singing carols on the way. The children carried lanterns, as they were led through the town by our Christmas elves! We ended up at the Methodist Church for mince pies and a final carol.
We had a fantastic turnout. The children from St Peter’s, Otterton and Drakes all sang ‘Away in a manger’ together.
Afterwards, the children enjoyed some Circus Skills provided by the Tourist Information Centre. There was also a brass band and Imperial Productions choir.
Thank you to Revds James, Wayne and Martin for helping to put everything together, Mike Hillier for closing the road and organising the entertainment, and Carl, Scott and Sara for being our Christmas elves – they were fab!
