Family Fun day.....was fun!
We all had a great time on the PTA Family Fun day at Budleigh Football Club. It was such a memorable experience and a great atmosphere for the children – and the weather made it perfect for the adults too!
Firstly, we had a big turn-out for the football training, ably coached by Dan Carthew and the Budleigh Ladies Football Team (newly crowned Champions!), with Mr H and Will Cade taking the very youngest.
Then, the children enjoyed nine different sporting challenges with their families. This ranged from cricket, rugby, netball, tennis and athletics, to golf, hockey, speed shot and nerf-gun-shooting! The winning children were Sean, Isla, Katie, Nico, Abbie and Zac.
Finally, the day ended with a disco and FIFA tournament.

- Budleigh Football club, for letting us use the premises and providing the coaches. It was great to have the ladies team involved.
- The PTA – Laura, Lorraine, Franki and Debbie in particular.
- Tom – for doing an amazing job on the BBQ!
- Donna, Tori, Anna, Duncan, Duncan, Mandi, Sean, Andrew, Ian, Spencer, Kev and Darren for volunteering on the challenges.
- Wilf on the microphone, and for organising the PA, disco and FIFA!
- And Will, Gary and Steve for helping me organise the whole thing. Will in particular took a lead role in sorting the day out, so a special thank you to him.
- Thanks to everyone else who helped tidy up at the end too – it makes a big difference at the end of a long day!
