FREE HOT CHOCOLATE Reading Event 22nd November
Now that we have got your attention….of course your eyes were drawn to the words ‘Reading Event’!
As part of our vision for ‘lifelong love of reading for pleasure’, we would like to invite all Year 1 to Year 6 pupils and their parents/guardians to our Hot Chocolate Reading Event at the school on 22nd November. The event will start at 18:00 (doors open from 17:45) and end at 19:00.
This style of event was last hosted in 2014 and was very popular!
Pupils should arrive wearing onesies, pyjamas and dressing gowns etc ready for a bedtime story (outdoor footwear will be required – not slippers). They will have the opportunity to listen to a range of stories, poems and non-fiction books read by very kind and generous volunteers – and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate!
Parents and guardians must accompany their children to the event – there will be a few activities for parents and guardians, information to help support your child with their reading and a chance to explore a range of book types, including books by less familiar authors.
It would be very helpful (in terms of seating and refreshments) to know how many families are attending this event. Please can you provide a few details on using the attached link: https://goo.gl/forms/1MX4ItS9Qb3HttVF2
