From Exe to Axe raised money for the library - thank you!
A few Saturday’s ago, a Sea Garden on our seafront hosted a performance of a new play by Budleigh’s very own playwright, producer and director, Steve Andrews – From Exe to Axe. It has been specially written by Steve as part of the celebrations for the 400th anniversary of the execution of Sir Walter Raleigh and dramatises the life of one of the most remarkable characters of the Elizabethan era, from his birth in East Budleigh through to his imprisonment and execution in the Tower of London.
The performance at the home of Sue and Martin Briggs, raised £976.30 for the school library!
A big thank you to Sue, Martin, and the cast of the performance for their amazing effort. A special thank you to Steve for supporting the school yet again, and for Pat Peters, who is a regular volunteer at the school, for her wonderful performance!
