Staying safe online during COVID-19
Dear parents/carers,
I am sure you are all utilising technology during this enforced lock-down.
Don’t forget our help page – https://st-peters-school.org.uk/parents/staying-safe-online-current-advice-for-parents/
It is important you keep safe on line – just like in real life. You wouldn’t let your child go to a new play park for the first time on their own – the same applies on line!
Remember – all things in moderation too! Don’t forget getting out for exercise, and play real life games too. These are much more helpful for child development.
I’ve also put some helpful links below. HouseParty seems to be very popular now!
YouTube Moderation for Parents
Given the circumstance we find ourselves in, it’s likely that children will spend more time on YouTube. I have recorded a brand new video over the weekend giving some tips on the few functions available within YouTube to help parents. Please feel free to share far and wide.

HouseParty App
This app has been around for years, but has just reached number 1 in the download charts, suggesting that more children and young people are using it to communicate and socialise. Wayne Denner has put together an article which will be of use to parents. The article is HERE.
Home activity Resources
The Education team at CEOP have put together some great home activity packs. See HERE to download the packs.
