The Adam Stansfield Foundation

On Tuesday 31st October, we received a very generous surprise donation from the Adam Stansfield Foundation.  They arrived at school with footballs, pop up goals and agility equipment.

This equipment will be used by our lunchtime team to help increase the amount of activity at lunchtime!  Nate, Josie and Miia, three of our Year 6 Young Sport Leaders, were amazed when they heard they they will be able to use this kit to deliver their activities.

How you can help the Adam Stansfield Foundation
Adam Stansfield played football for Yeovil Town, Hereford United and Exeter City.  Unfortunately, Adam was diagnosed with bowel cancer in April 2010 and died in August 2010 at the age of 31.
The Adam Stansfield Foundation was set up following his death with two aims:
  • The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of children and young people up to the age of 16 residing in Devon, Herefordshire and Somerset by the provision of grants and facilities for playing football.
  • To advance the education of the general public in areas relating to bowel cancer
Further information about the work of the Foundation, including how to make a donation, can be found on the website:
