Budleigh community at its best - supporting families during half term
Myself and Mr Hitchcock are delighted with the kind support offered to families of pupils from St Peter’s Primary School by two Budleigh organisations: The Gingerbread House and Wesley’s Cafe and Community Space at the Temple Methodist Church.
The Gingerbread House, High Street, Budleigh Salterton
If your child is eligible for Free School Meals, then they would like to offer your child a free child’s takeaway lunch which will include a sandwich, a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit and a juice throughout half term. A perfect treat for a picnic on the beach or after a morning in the park!
You do not need a voucher, or a referral, just head down to The Gingerbread House.
Please follow current Covid-19 guidance when entering the premises.
Wesley’s – new café and community space at the Temple Methodist Church Hall, Fore Street, Budleigh Salterton
During half-term, all families of children at St Peter’s CoE Primary School are welcome to enjoy free meals from 10:00 to 16:00 Monday to Saturday at Wesley’s.
This is open to all families – not just those who have children who are eligible for Free School Meals. It is recognised that some families are currently facing reduced income, rising bills, difficulties managing unexpected costs, as well as increased food costs over the half term.
Wesley’s can cater for all dietary needs, including vegetarian, diary free, vegan and gluten free.
You do not need a voucher, or a referral, just head down to Wesley’s and enjoy some delicious food for the whole family. Please note that seating arrangements are designed to meet current Covid-19 guidance.
