Otter Estuary Spring Litter Pick
Saturday 31st March 2018, 1000-1230
Lime Kilns car park (free car-parking permits available)
Join the Otter Valley Association with EDDC and Clinton Devon Estates to clear plastics and other litter from the Otter Estuary SSSi below White Bridge.
Meet at 1000 where free parking tickets will be distributed along with refuse bags and litter pickers. At noon bring your loaded bags back to the car park where prizes will be awarded for the most unusual finds!
Explore the Lower Otter Estuary at low tide and take part in this annual litter pick to improve this important wildlife site.
Volunteers of all ages are most welcome, but Wellington boots and gloves are essential!
Heath Fire Awareness Day
Tuesday 3rd April 2018, Drop in between 1100-1400
Colaton Raleigh common. Park at Castle or Estuary View car parks at follow trail across the heathland affected by last year’s wildfire.
Meet the local fire crew and their 4×4 fire engine designed for the commons. Learn more about how we manage and prevent wildfires on the commons and how you can help protect the heaths and its wildlife.
This event takes place on open heathland and involves a walk to the event site.

Help artist Darrell Wakelam make incredible natural creations from papier-mache! Free drop-in event suitable for all ages. Organised by the Jurassic Coast Trust and Clinton Devon Estates. With wildlife and dinosaur themed activities for all ages and refreshments available.
