Helen and Debbie are looking forward to seeing some familiar faces as well as new members at ‘Home from Home‘ during the Autumn Term.

During the last academic year, we have invested in new toys (the Knex and Lego have proved very popular), dedicated ‘Home from Home‘ Chrome books, storage, crockery etc.  Every Wednesday, pupils have enjoyed a ‘Fun Swim’ (included in the cost of After School) and have also had the opportunity to play on our fantastic outdoor play equipment.  Finally, Debbie and Helen have supported pupils with their learning, including reading with pupils and supporting Year 6 pupils with their weekly spellings!

The Breakfast Club operates from 07:30 to 08:45 during term time.  Please note that member of staff are setting up before this time and so parents should not drop off before 07:30.  Pupils are supervised on the playground from 08:45 until 08:55 when the school day begins.

The After School Club operates from 15:00 to 15:30 during term time for Nursery children only.  Please note that the members of staff who work during these times are not paid after 15:30 or have other duties in school.  Please collect your Nursery child at or before 15:30 (unless you have paid for the extended After School Club up to 18:00).  If you have a older child in school, please collect your Nursery child before collecting your older child.

The After School Club continues from 15:30 to 18:00.  Debbie or Helen will collect pupils from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.  Key Stage 2 pupils are asked to wait quietly in the secure school reception until Debbie or Helen arrives.  Parents who are unexpectedly late must contact ‘Home from Home‘ (see the new ‘Home from Home‘ agreement).

Please note that our Home from Home Agreement has been updated and the wording related to several sections, including payments and times (including late collection), have been amended.  All parents who use ”Home from Home‘, including parents who have used ‘Home from Home‘ in the past, will be provided with a paper copy of this document.  These will be distributed before Friday 21st September. You will need to read this document and then return a signed copy of the document by no later than Friday 5th October.

‘Home from Home‘ has been very popular.  However, we do not want to get complacent.  Our ‘Home from Home‘ needs to work for you and your child/children.

Please can you complete the following anonymous survey (will take approximately 8-10 minutes) – the more detail that you add in your responses then better we can understand your needs.

Once you have submitted the form, please collect a raffle ticket from Helen or Debbie (they will know you have responded but not what your responses were – so your response will remain anonymous).  A draw will take place on Friday 5th October with the winner receiving a bottle of wine!
