Come along on the 23rd March to our chocolate bingo – a great family night, where all the prizes are chocolate – yum. Doors open at 5.45pm, eyes down at 6.30pm. There will be pasties, wedges and drinks on sale too. Look forward to seeing you there!
You should be now have heard about the Swimathon 29th April, we are filling teams up fast, so do let Ruth know if you and/or your child (8+) would like to participate. Don’t forget that all the money raised will go to the upkeep of the swimming pool, so even if you do not wish to swim, it would fab if you could sponsor the swimmers. NEW PTA role – Community relationships rep
The school has been gaining more and more support from local businesses such as Earls, Hays Travel and Bowmers, and we are really keen to have stronger partnerships with the high street and other local businesses. Therefore we are looking for someone to become our representative and build-up these relationships.
The ‘role’, really doesn’t require masses of work or time, it’s really just to represent the school, see how we can work together with them, ensure we are not bombarding them with requests, but also that we are giving back and working together for the good of the school and the community.
– Working with Earl’s, Bowmers, Hays Travel etc to find ways we can work closer with them
– Ensuring we say thank you to local businesses who support us in a big or small way
– Working with committee/school to see if we can find other ways to partner, i.e. sponsoring equipment or advertising
The first job would be to help the Chair and the committee organise a local networking event for the community.
If you would like to help the school and join the PTA committee as our community representative, we would really appreciate it and love to hear from you, email spsa.budleighsalterton@gmail.
